Inspiration

I became mesmerized by the intricate vein patterns on grape leaves while studying the different leaf shapes of popular varietals. I wondered if they are each completely unique, like snowflakes or human fingerprints. With that one thought came my first concept of reversing a fingerprint onto a grape leaf. Loma Seca wines are dry farmed and bottled in small quantities by a very small vintner, which made the symbolism apropos as well.
